So, how can you know if your phone is tapped? How can you secure your phone? You can use USSD codes (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data) to find out if someone is eavesdropping on you. USSD codes are built-in smartphone features, and this function allows a smartphone user to access more security-related information.

Open your smartphone’s call dialer and dial the below codes to use this feature. The code can verify if someone has hacked your mobile phone and enable or disable various settings. So, let’s see the USSD code to check if phone is hacked in detail.

Code To Check If Phone Is Hacked

You can dial several codes to find out if someone has tapped your phone. These codes are made up of numbers, signs, and symbols. Okay, let’s dig into some code to check if phone is hacked.

1. Code to Check IMEI: *#06#

Every mobile device is identified by a unique number known as the International Mobile Equipment Identity or IMEI. It’s a 15-digit number that comes with your phone when you buy, and it is like your phone’s fingerprint.

If you have the IMEI number of your phone, then you can use it to find your phone when lost or stolen. You can track the IMEI number to locate the location of your phone. You can try looking up the IMEI number by following the instructions below.

Step 1: Firstly, launch the dialer application.

Step 2: Enter the code *#06#.

Step 3: Then, press the dial button.

Sometimes, you might enable Call Divert or Call Forwarding by mistake, but are you aware that scammers might divert your calls? Yes, it happens, and without our knowledge.

So, how can you find out if someone is diverting your calls? Receiving a missed call and failing to receive further voicemail notifications from subsequent callers is one red sign. Follow these procedures to see if someone is diverting your call:

Step 1: Open your phone app. Then, select the dialer.

Step 2: Enter the codes *#61# then, hit the call button.

Step 3: Your call forwarding information will now be displayed.

Step 4: Examine to see if everything is set to Not Forwarded.

If it is not set to Not Forwarded, cancel the prompt and dial the ##61# code. This is an undo redirection code. Once successful, you will receive a prompt stating, “Call Forwarding Erase Successful.”

Using this code will reveal whether or not your device is susceptible to tapping. To prevent falling into such traps, avoid clicking on anonymous URLs given by text message.

4. Code to Check Busy Call Diversion: *#67#

When you enable busy call diversion, your smartphone diverts all the calls when you are unreachable to your voicemail. But when someone registers their number instead of your voicemail number, they will receive the messages.

How can you find out if someone is routing your busy/rejected calls to another number? To find out, follow the steps below:

What is the definition of conditional phone forwarding? It is an option that allows you to direct incoming calls to a different number. Do you know how to use this option? If not, then proceed as follows:

When you have enabled call forwarding, people cannot reach your phone on call, and the call will reach someone from your contact list. It happens randomly, but if a hacker sets it to forward all calls to his number he will know all your confidential information.

So, can you use a code to check if phone is hacked? I don’t think so because they are pretty useless when it comes to preventing someone from hacking your phones, and they only let you check if someone tapped your phone and find if someone is receiving your calls and SMS messages. These utility codes work on both Android and iPhone.

These are all the USSD codes to check if phone is hacked. The codes only tell us if someone has hacked or tapped your phone, while some only give us some important information about phones. So, you might be wondering, “How to recover my hacked phone?”. You can try the code mentioned in the last to undo all the redirection.

However, if you want to check if someone hacked your phone in other ways, then you can seek the help of a spying application. There are many parental control and monitoring applications available online. You can use a free version for limited hacking and tracking options or a paid version with more premium features.
